Our story

Camelot Breads is a local bakery providing organic artisan breads to the community through the Sarasota Farmers Market on Saturdays. 

Since the war in Israel began, we have been flying the Israeli flag at the market to show our support. Our assistant baker Davida’s father lives in Jerusalem, so what is happening there is very close to home. We are proud to be a public presence in support of Israel; there is absolutely no place for the hatred and violence that occurred on October 7 and which continues while there are hostages that have not come home.

Camelot’s primary focus has been sourdough breads made with fresh milled grains and organic ingredients but we began baking challah in the last year to support our friends at the market who march each week for the hostages. As the enthusiasm and conversations grew, we began to see that it would be more fitting to offer our challah loaves on Fridays for Shabbat.

We are pleased to announce that we are making our challah available for pickup at our bakery on Fridays from 12pm - 4pm. We are grateful to be able to serve the community in this way and bake our bread with great joy! Thank you for being a part of this story and inviting us to your Shabbat table.
